MôForró (pronounced moh-foh-HAW) plays dance music deeply influenced by forró music with roots in drought-stricken Northeastern Brazil. The band, formed in 2012, is a breakout group of the Los Angeles collective of musicians at the forefront of the SoCal Brazilian music scene known as Samba Society. MôForró, along with the Forró in L.A. collective, has been integral to the growing popularity of the dance genre in Southern California.
